I just upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 with kernel 2.6.27-10-generic. After upgrade I wanted to reconfigure my old VMware player 2.4.x but no success because the kernel was changed a lot from version 2.6.18 to 2.6.27, so I was “forced” to switch to VMWare Player 2.5.1.

In this post I will try to explain, as easy as possible, how to install Vodafone Mobile Connect K3520 under Linux (in my case is Ubuntu and Debian but also need to work under Fedora or other Linux distributions). Also I will show you how to connect from console /  terminal with this device if you want to establish a permanent Internet connection over this device.

As you know, under linux, you can have multiple application versions  (you can have 2 C++ compilers, or 4 java runtimes ) in the same time on your system.
