Is possible to be because of my “hacks” in “Advanced Settings”, but I’m not very sure about that. Looking in /var/log/messages I spotted some very strange errors:

Error Stream from partedUtil while getting partitions: Error: The partition table on /dev/disks/vmhba0:0:0:0 is inconsistent. There are many reasons why this might be the case. However, the most likely reason is that Linux detected the BIOS geometry for /dev/disks/vmhba0:0:0:0 incorrectly. GNU Parted suspects the ...

Every-time when I want to manage some machines, or I want to see the IP/Status/etc of some machines, I need to log on on some Windows Server and run the VMware Infrastructure Client from there. Because I’m running exclusively on Linux (Debian 5.0.1 Lenny) on my workstation, this can be very annoying. Anyway, VMware VirtualCenter is exposing to us a set of web services who can control your VMware ESX ...

After upgrade I wanted to reconfigure my old VMware player 2.4.x but no success because the kernel was changed a lot from version 2.6.18 to 2.6.27, so I was “forced” to switch to VMWare Player 2.5.1.

Installing was easy but configuring the new modules for the VMware player was not working at all. After some debugging I just found the vmware-modconfig crashing with “Segmentation Fault”.
$dmesg
